The Cheltenham Tourist Information Centre staff were very helpful and provided maps and bus timetables to enable me to travel to a number of Cotswold villages without the need to hire a rental car. Staff also suggested a variety of interesting local places to visit in Cheltenham when it was too wet and windy to walk around the Cotswolds.
Super helpful staff. Thank you for the suggestions.

Durrant House Hotel, Bideford: July 31 - August 04 Hotel breakfasts were limited if you did not want a "Full English". Staff were polite and attentive. Our Driver, Paul, coped very well with traffic congestion on our way home. He had to make a detour from the motorway, which resulted in a very long driving day.
The holiday was linked to visiting National Trust properties and was well planned and well led by Tami who joined us at our first overnight stop. The hotels used were excellent especially the Holiday Inn at Nottingham. Properties visited were a good choice although the Welcome Letter needs updating as it showed one house and the refurbished landscape site we didn't get to. To have fitted in the house on the suggested day would not have been possible but it looked worthy of going to somehow! The Coach was on it's last legs and was either too hot or too cold and we had to ask the Driver - who tried his best to sort it - to turn up or down. Our seat was near the toilet and sadly we on several days could smell it and again although the driver tried to sort it we felt it was in need to a total and deep clean. We understand that coach was on it's last trip - if not it should have been as it ruined the fairly long drives we had. The hotel in Newcastle was excellent but for each visit we had about an hour plus drive each way each day except for the Newcastle visit. If the hotel had been further north this would have been avoided and we could maybe then have visited the other house. Start and driving times did of course match the NT opening times but we feel this could be looked at for the future. Excellent value for money and a great trip

I go to a Traditional Chinese 5 Animal Kung Fu group here. I've passed Tiger and moving on to Crane next year. Absolutely love it. It's an awesome martial art to learn and I definitely recommend it if you want to keep fit and learn something new, and are interested in martial arts in general. There is no sense of pressure here, if you don't get something, there's plenty of help available. They do different types of classes also, circuits, kicking classes and so on. Ping me a message if you want further information.
Nice small park with small play area. Lovely plants in the summer.

Beautiful open space to enjoy time away from bustling town centre. No gardens as such anymore but lovely wide green space amongst mature trees. Skate park is tucked away so not to disturb others too much. Art gallery and cafe are really good quality and well worth inspection. Band stand and host to several local arts music and lit fests throughout the year.
Nice food. Lovely setting. The risotto starter was a very generous portion. The duck for main seemed a smaller portion than the starter and was a tad on the over done side for my liking... but that's a personal preference. All in all a decent meal and service.
